Howard County Iron Chef Cook-Off
The Howard Iron Chef Cook-off was held at the Howard County Fairgrounds during the Howard County Fair. This event features local celebrity chefs and dishes made with local produce.

The Howard County Fair was created for the display and competition of agricultural and horticultural products; horses, cattle, livestock,domestic animals, poultry, domestic arts and manufactures, farming and gardening implements and machinery and all things relating to the cultivation of the soil and products.

Howard County Film Feastival
The Howard County Film Feastival at Clark's Elioak Farm is held to kick off Howard County Farm2Table Restaurant week. The event features stands from area restaurants, providing samples of the food made from locally grown produce that they will be featuring during the upcoming week. A mini farmers market is also held, letting event goers sample area produce and connect with the farms that produced them. When the sun begins to set a movie is shown on an outdoor screen.

Challenge to eat one item from a local farm each day.

At this annual event in April you can learn about composting and how to build a rain barrel, learn about soil testing and fertilizing your yard, how to keep bees, and other activities. Also, you can donate old clothes, shoes, and electronics, and have documents shredded.

September 24-October 7, 2012
Over two weeks in late September, early October visit local farms, public libraries, and farmers markets to enjoy family friendly activities and food from the Howard County farming community.

September 29-30, 2012
Vintage farm equipment demonstrations, antique cars and trucks, music, demonstrations by the Maryland Draft Horse and Mule Association, lawn mower races, a rodeo, and other activities.
