Cultivating technology through innovative strategic partnerships is the mission of the Howard Tech Council. Through its integration with the MCE, the HTC provides a valuable forum for industry, research, educators, investors, and government throughout the region. The HTC leverages a well-connected technological ecosystem, a top ten place to live and a highly educated workforce to fuel the imperative for innovation in the region.

The HTC vision is to be a premier forum for the networking, and the collaboration between technology companies in the Howard County and the surrounding region. Through HTC Affinity Groups, Committees and Roundtables, we provide relevant candid discussions on key issues facing our tech community and promote networking to foster the development of relationships essential to each member's success.  We are considered essential for the development and success of technology executives in the region.

The Chief Information Security Officer “In-Residence” program known as “HOCO CISO” is based at the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship (MCE). This first of its kind program is designed to address the needs of residents of the MCE along with the more than 200 member companies of the Howard Tech Council (HTC) who do not have their own Chief Security or Privacy officer.
