NEOTECH CLIENT OPTIMIZES EFFORTS WITH THE UNICORN GROUP
Optemax Partners For Business Development Expansion within Government Sector
Columbia, MD (March 24, 2010) – Optemax, LLC, an optical wireless technology development company, signed with The Unicorn Group, LLC to maximize their business development efforts within the government sector.
Optemax, LLC is developing BeamNet®, an ultra high speed mobile optical wireless networking system for government and commercial markets. Founded in 2004 by Shirley Collier, Optemax’s technologies exceed presently available commercial wireless products in speed, reliability, mobility, and security. “Our technologies have broad application throughout the Department of Defense and Homeland Security,” states Collier. “We are looking to the Unicorn Group to help us expand our government client base.” Optemax, LLC is currently an affiliate at The Center for Business and Technology Development in Columbia, MD, which sponsors the NeoTech Incubator program. “Shirley has been such a great supporter of the NeoTech Incubator,” says Laurie Hedlund, NeoTech Director, “and it is an honor to be a part of the organization she helped to build. Optemax will surely be even more successful with the partnership with The Unicorn Group.”
The Unicorn Group Chairman and CEO, John Aggrey, believes this will benefit both companies. “When companies come to Unicorn, they are looking for us to provide services that will give them their best return on investment,” said Aggrey. “We look forward to the chance to help them with their business development and funding strategies in an effort to help the company implement their growth plans.”
The Unicorn Group specializes in Executive Relationship Marketing (ERM) which will help Collier and Optemax sell their product to The Unicorn Group’s long list of executive clients. By means of an ERM associate, Optemax can maximize the use of The Unicorn Group’s resources. Clients expect a good ERM associate to work seamlessly with their in house business development manager, schedule online demonstrations of their product, and arrange face-to-face meetings with decision- making executives, all of which will greatly increase Optemax’s chance for closing business deals. “One sale can more than pay for the use of an ERM firm and provide much needed reference to leverage in future marketing campaigns,” praises The Unicorn Group.
Optemax’s, Shirley Collier has been an integral of the NeoTech and Center family. Collier, a nationally known speaker, author and technology entrepreneur, worked in the technology and government industry for over 25 years while helping launch the NeoTech Incubator and serving on its Advisory Committee for more than 10 years.
