AWARDS

CBED logoOn April 21, 2009 at 7:30 a.m., CBED hosted the 15th Annual Awards Program at Ten Oaks Ballroom. The annual awards program recognizes outstanding business leaders in the Howard County community and their achievements in the area of equal business opportunity and awards two scholarships, the Howard County General Hospital Rising Business Star Scholarship and the Howard County Chamber of Commerc Earl H. Saunders Entrepreneurial Scholarship. All nominees and the honoree in each category were announced at the event.

2009 CBED Award Honorees:  Stanley Crump, Owner, Ellicott City Fitness and Karate (Recipient of Individual Achievement CBED Award); John M. Kane, President and CEO, The Kane Company (Recipient of the Business Diversity Achievement CBED Award); Matthew Erlandson, Wilde Lake High School - Matt's Lawn Care (Recipient of Howard County General Hositpal Rising Business Star Scholarship), Shara Patty Darden, Studio Inspire (Recipient of the Business Achievement CBED Award); and Earl H. Saunders, Chair, CBED Cmte.
