SCHOLARSHIPS

 

Act Now! Scholarship applications must be received by

no later than March 6, 2009!

 

The Howard County Committee for Business and Economic Diversity (CBED) is now accepting applications for the following $1,000 scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded at the 15th Annual CBED Awards Program to be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009.

 

  • The Howard County General Hospital Rising Business Star Scholarship recognizes a Howard County public high school senior who is a minority, young woman and/or person with a disability who has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit as evidenced by starting a small business, assisting an existing business in a significant way, or by developing a creation or invention targeted towards business. The $1,000.00 will assist the recipient to pursue post-secondary studies at an accredited educational institution.   • The Earl H. Saunders Entrepreneurial Scholarship recognizes a Howard County resident who is a minority, woman and/or person with a disability who has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit as evidenced by starting a small business, assisting an existing business in a significant way, or by developing a creation or invention targeted towards business. The $1,000.00 will assist the recipient to pursue post secondary entrepreneurial programs/courses of study at an accredited educational institution. For more information about the Earl H.
