The long wait is nearly over for foodies looking forward to buying locally grown fruits and vegetables from area farmers. The 2015 Howard County Farmers’ Market season will begin May 6 and run through November 22.

Howard County Celebrates 24th Business Appreciation Week

More than 100 businesses will be visited during the week of May 4 as part of Howard County’s annual Business Appreciation Week – a week set aside to directly engage area businesses. The visits will include the full range of businesses from startups to large companies.

Two Howard County Companies Named Finalists in the InvestMaryland Challenge

The Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development has announced the finalists of the 2015 InvestMaryland Challenge and two companies from Howard County are among the finalists.

Howard County earns AAA rating from all three bond rating agencies

Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman today announced the County has received an AAA credit rating, the highest possible score, from all three bond ratings agencies. Fitch Ratings, Moody’s Investor Services and Standard & Poor’s all have recognized the County’s vibrant economy, diverse revenue streams, and strong financial policies and practices. Howard County is one of just 41 counties among more than 3,000 in the U.S. to earn a Triple-A rating from all three agencies.
