Freshly to Open Processing and Distribution Facility in Howard County, Plans to Add 500 Jobs

The gourmet meal delivery service Freshly will be opening their first east coast facility in Howard County in the fall of 2017, adding 500 jobs over the next two years. Freshly, a gourmet ready to eat meal delivery service, will be locating in a 171,000 sq. ft. facility at 8704 Bollman Place, Savage, Howard County.

Polymer Safety Barrier Manufacturer A-SAFE Opens Doors in Elkridge

Polymer safety barrier manufacturer A-SAFE Inc. officially unveiled its new 30,000 sq. ft. distribution center with Howard County officials in Elkridge on Wednesday, February 8.

County Executive Kittleman Announces Vision for the Future of Columbia Gateway

Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman joined economic development officials, property owners, and businesses to announce his vision to turn Columbia Gateway, Howard County’s largest business center, into an innovation district.

Laurel Manufacturer Plans Expansion, 50 New Jobs

Iron World, the fastest-growing distributor of decorative steel fences and gates in the country, is expanding its manufacturing operations in Howard County and adding 50 new jobs in the next two years. The company will invest $1 million in the project to streamline its manufacturing process and reduce costs. Improvements include exterior upgrades and extra storage space, as well as a new automated routing machine and an additional panel assembly machine, which will significantly decrease assembly time and increase production by 300 percent.

This first of its kind program is designed to address the needs of residents and affiliates of the MCE along with the more than 240 member companies of the Howard Tech Council (HTC) who do not have their own Chief Security or Privacy officer.
