HCEDA Staff Receive SCORE Advocate Award

Two staff members from the Howard County Economic Development Authority’s Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship have received the Advocate/Supporter award for SCORE, Counsellors to America’s Small Businesses. Rita Anderson and Deborah Leake were this year’s winning nominations for demonstrating consistent and outstanding leadership to the Howard County community through their invaluable support to clients.

HCEDA Receives IEDC Silver Award for Ellicott City Flood Response

The Howard County Economic Development Authority (HCEDA) was awarded a Silver Award at the 2017 International Economic Development Councils (IEDC) Annual Awards for their role in the Ellicott City Flash Flood Response and Recovery.

Vheda Health’s National Growth Fuels Expansion into Larger Facility

In response to the continued growth of Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship (MCE) resident Vheda Health, the company has moved into a new larger space in Columbia.

Strengthening Columbia's Village Centers, The Focus of a New Initiative Between HCEDA and CA

The Columbia Village Centers Retail Development Program is being implemented to strengthen the village centers as retailing and community gathering destinations, and will assist small business retailers with technical resources to help ensure their success.

HTC's 2017 End Of Summer Bash!

8/29/17 5:00 PM Celebrate the final days of summer with the Howard Tech Council! Enjoy an evening of festivities in the backstage/ VIP lounge of Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia. The Chief Information Security Officer In-Residence program known as “HOCO CISO” is based at the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship (MCE). This first of its kind program is designed to address the needs of residents and affiliates of the MCE along with the more than 240 member companies of the Howard Tech Council (HTC) who do not have their own Chief Security or Privacy officer.
